To Read Someones Body Language

Body language is the process of communicating non-verbally through conscious or unconscious gestures and movements. It could be through someones hand gesture, the way their eyes show excitement or anger, even the way people turn their body away or towards you.

When making eye contact people would often look you directly in the eyes showing that they are interested and paying attention. When someone is breaking eye contacts it means that they're lying or feel uncomfortable, read their body language. If someone if stiff and not open to you for example crossing their arms and leaning away from you, this is a sign that this person is not interested in the conversation and uncomfortable. Rather to a person or his open with hand gestures that are not threatening, making strong eye contact and leaning towards you. What about pupil size, even though the light and darkness has an effect on your pupil size, how you feel can effect it too. If you pupils are large is means that there is excitement, maybe arousal, anger or deep thought.

How about somebody's posture? Have you tired to strike a conversation with somebody you know and saw at a store. Usually the conversation would pick up and you'd ask 'Hi what a coincidence, what are you doing?' but you notice that the persons body is turning away from you and they feet are pointing away. Probably means that the person was not up to having a talk and was in a rush to leave the store. When a person clasps their hands behind their back indicates that they are about to ask you a question but they are being shy hoping that they wont get the answer they don't want. For example when child puts their hands behind their back and asks their parents for something like a chocolate bar at the store, they are asking kind of shy and nicely because they want something but are afraid of the wrong answer like "no".
